    Nice to meet you Jimmy! I was performing a google search the other day on the Atkins diet (low-carb) and I was basically out there on the Internet trying to determine if low-carb is still the way to go. In 2002 I was on the Atkins diet for exactly one year, I lost 55 pounds, which brought me down to a skinny person, thinner than I had ever been in my adult life in fact. I felt better than ever, and my doctor is the one that put me on the diet, he was in Columbia, SC. I had lost 45 pounds the first 3 months, and my good and bad cholersterol levels were almost perfect for a 22 year old male. Anyway, after a year I went off the diet as I moved back to Minnesota, then my fiancee at the time and I had a child, which made me gain 80 pounds due to I think “sympathy weight”..ha ha. Anyway, back to my initial point, I now have 65 pounds to lose and while I was out there searching I found your new and old site and I was inspired to do this again, since I know low-carb lifestyle is still out there and even more supported than while I was doing it. Thanks for the postings/blogs, I know it is a lot of work. I work in I.T and I know sitting in front of a computer can be very tedious, so I commend you on doing this for everyone, at the same time helping people out such as myself to be inspired to begin this healthy lifestyle. I started my low–carb lifestyle Monday, Aug 18, 2008, wish me luck and thanks!
